| Add Augmentin review I had a cocktail shot for my Acute Bacterial Infection of the Sinuses; and prescribe Name Brand--Augmentin 500-125mg 1 tablet Orally Twice a day. Along with other prescribed meds. If you take the Generic Brand of Argumentin, you will have and suffer mild to server side effects because of other inert inactive ingredients to compound them, colors, and added flavors. Generics do not have to prove it ... It cured my infection, but I had severe, unbearable pain in both shoulders, collarbone, upper arms for two months. The doctor finally sent me to a Pain Clinic and a steroid shot in each shoulder relieved the pain. May have been an allergic reaction - inflammation of the blood vessels and muscle pain. I am on my 9th day with augmenten and I feel like the side effects if this drug are worse than the symptoms of sinus infection. I am having anxiety, hot flashes, nauseas , trouble sleeping. I will not be taking this again. This is a HORRIBLE DRUG....I am on day 7 I have had the stomach issues,weakness,anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts.The sinus infection is not getting any better. Dr still thinks I need to take it but I am seriously thinking of coming off of it. Thankfully the pharmacist warned me to be careful because it could weaken tendons so I limited my activity. The UTI symptoms went away after the first dose. After 8 days I developed a pain in my ankle and was told to wear an ace ankle wrap, elevate, use ice, & take ibuprofen, all of which helped, but I was still limping ... my doctor prescribed this for me for a suspected bladder infection, I read all the information on this drug and decided NOT to try it, I have a lot of allergies and am very sensitive to a lot of med's. a lot of the side affects of this drug are not reversible, I feel like I dodged a bullet, so glad I read up on all drugs that I sometimes need.. I have not seen my doctor since he prescribed this, a ... rash and welts all over my upper body and inside thighs. red spots up to 12" diameter and welts on both inner arms and on back...within 6 hrs of taking one 500mg. also hard on stomach...but slays the bacteria in the bladder. I'll never take it again. After two days I have developed intense vaginal pain. Waves of recurring pain. | |||
