| Add Bactrim review E.choli skin rash. I've been on Bactrim for 12 out of 14 days. Rash was starting to get better but now is getting worse. Only side effects have been gas and some constipation. I was started on this antibiotic to treat Impetigo. I'm currently half way through the treatment, and the only side effect I'm experiencing is appetite loss which isn't much to complain about. So far it seems to be helping clear up the affected area and decrease swelling. On the upside, it has also cleared up most of my acne on my face and including my back. Overall I'm satisfied with my doctors c ... I have used Bactrim in the past with no side effects, taking it at bedtime, for adult acne. This time however, I took it for 3 nights and had insomnia until about 3 am. Insomnia is a rare side effect for this rx. I might be able to tolerate it if I took it in the morning instead, but haven't tried yet. I have been on a 10 day course of Bactrim DS for an infected knee cyst. I experienced mild nausea and headache if I took the meds on an empty stomach but otherwise temperature regulation (chills/sweating) was the only side effect I experienced.I did take Align probiotics once a day to combat those "other" side effects. I took this medication for a large abscess on my arm. I took this medication with a B vitamin complex, which I read can drastically reduce the side effects (a B9 vitamin supplement is what you need, folic acid). . I have been told when taking antibiotics, it's good to help replenish the natural bacteria in the gut with a probiotic, so I'm going to be taking a probiotic along with B9 at lunchtim ... | Add Flagyl review This med made me feel wiped out but I didn't get sick from it. Like others have said, it works fast. It's REALLY important to eat with this med or you will feel terrible. If you eat with it or at least drink milk you should be fine the only side effect I had was feeling tired. I stress eat with it and yes it has a bad taste if it's in your mouth too long I noticed if I took it with juice, soda or ... I have taken this twice before & am about to start another 7day treatment for my recurring condition. I was scared to take this medication after reading the reviews, but faced the fear because I know this was the only medication that would make me get better. At the time of receiving medication I had, had B.V for about 2 weeks and was TOTALLY FED UP!!!!! I was becoming hopeless and depressed because to me vaginal odor is one of the most saddening things a woman ... I was prescribed Flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. It killed the vaginosis. Unfortunately it also killed my appetite. It got so bad that I was counting calories to make sure I was getting the minimum 800 a day the average adult needs for basic subsistence. I was like the walking dead by the end of it. Never again with the oral version of this drug. I would consider the cream though. Taking this medicine for BV, definitely has cleared the Vaginosis but have had several side effects. Leaves a horrible metallic taste in my mouth and constantly queasy. Vomited a few times, generally first thing in the morning with the metallic taste. Big loss of appetite as well. | |||
