My doctor called this in for me after I had had UTI symptoms for 3 days. Thankfully the pharmacist warned me to be careful because it could weaken tendons so I limited my activity. The UTI symptoms went away after the first dose. After 8 days I developed a pain in my ankle and was told to wear an ace ankle wrap, elevate, use ice, & take ibuprofen, all of which helped, but I was still limping ...

my doctor prescribed this for me for a suspected bladder infection, I read all the information on this drug and decided NOT to try it, I have a lot of allergies and am very sensitive to a lot of med's. a lot of the side affects of this drug are not reversible, I feel like I dodged a bullet, so glad I read up on all drugs that I sometimes need.. I have not seen my doctor since he prescribed this, a ...

Tests were run and I was told that it is possible that I am having an adverse reaction to the medication. I am still very weak with moderately high blood pressure. I have been nauseated off and on and my last capsule was 5 days ago. I was treated for a UTI two weeks ago w ...

Unfortunately I had to have my colon & bladder removed but developed an e coli infection in what was left of my urinary tract. I used Macrobid 2x a day for 10 days & was retested. The infection persisted. Then I took it again 2x day for 10 days plus 1x day for a month. I am now being switched to Bactrim & hoping for better results. Have had massive hair loss on this medication!

I ended up at urgent care after 3 doses of Macrobid. Dr. thought I had Pancreatitis, a gall bladder issue or was passing a kidney stone. The right side under my rib caused me unbelievable pain, which is why I sought a doctor's care. After blood tests, ultrasound and x-rays, they found nothing wrong with me, however, they did tell me to go off the pills. Too late. I quit after 3. I spent 3 days ...

Until I was on Macrobid, I would be given other drugs such as Bactrim and Cipro. I am allergic to penicillin which is the old fashioned treatment. Macrobid to me is a God send! I get urinal tract and bladder inflammations from intercourse regardless of my care and cleanliness. I have had no side affects and results are quick. I was told I could take it daily if I wanted to but I only take it as a ...
